Experience an Old Florida beach at "Escape to Tranquility" Vacation Rental in Mexico Beach, Florida. Located less than 500 feet from the Gulf of Mexico, and one of North Florida's most beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast, you'll find this quaint cottage-style duplex.
It is within this 60-mile stretch of coastline, trademarked the "Forgotten Coast" in the early '90s by the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce, that you will not find the pustules and pockmarks of eruptive and disruptive development. Within this natural and unspoiled utopia, coined the "Unforgettable Coast" by the Mexico Beach Community Development District, and adopted by those that have grown accustomed to her quaint and become spoiled by her charm, exists the coastal Florida of yesteryear. Within this sixty miles of beach unspoiled by time, there are no high rises, no light pollution, no rush hour. Within this sixty miles, you can count the amount of traffic lights on one hand. Within this sixty miles of less, you will find more. More than her relatively untouched and pristine Bays and estuaries abundant with sea and wildlife, more than her calm beaches of sugar white sand that gently kiss the clear emerald warmth of the Gulf, more than her artsy antiquities vibe from mom and pop boutiques and eateries. In this quiet "Constitution City" where time and pace have slowed, a spirited and passionate "Friday Night Lights" community has grown. That is Port Saint Joe. That is Apalachicola. That is Mexico Beach. That is Cape San Blas.
Recently restyled by RetroRevisions Interiors, each side of this intimate retreat consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room, kitchen with dishwasher and outdoor patio space. On-site laundry facilities, a rear lounging deck, and "guest favorite" a privacy fenced outdoor shower with hot water.
Bike rentals, a coffee shop, restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance. Also nearby are numerous parks, nature preserves, fishing, water sports, dolphin, birds watching and doggie beaches.
A couple of area favorites: Horseback riding on the beach at Cape San Blas, Kayaking, Toucan's Restaurant on the Beach, River Tubing on the Chipola, day sailing out of Port Saint Joe Marina and if you want to catch a little state history, Florida's first constitutional convention was in Port Saint Joe and the museum is between Allen Memorial Lane and Gautier Memorial Lane.
In Panama City, you will find the Science & Discovery Center, shopping and movies at Pier Park, a zoo and Gulf World Aquarium.
In Eastpoint there is the Apalachicola National estuary and research reserve and the Maritime museum which had ecotours and sunset cruises.
As an AirBnb SuperHost, we look forward to helping you make wonderful Florida vacation memories!
